Charles Thompson, Abaco Oil Painter

Bahamian Artist Charles Thompson: After studying fine art in New York City, Charles returned to his home in Abaco, Bahamas and produced paintings with Bahamian themes. This one is of B-Class Bahamian Wooden Racing Sloop Lonesome Dove racing in the 2025 Best of the Best Regatta in Nassau, and is derived from the photograph I took from the media boat on an overcast day. Artist Thompson, working in oils, “Bahamianized” my photo to make it POP! and show off the vibrant colors and light of the Bahamas.
